What can you expect if you walk into our frame shop for the first time?


The Design Process

• “What are you looking to do with your piece?” This helps us to know what kind of frame job we would be working on.
• “Do you have a budget in mind?”
• “What do you have in mid for this?” Occasionally the customer has a very firm idea of how they want the piece framed, more frequently the customer is looking for guidance.
• We work as a team designing the piece - choosing the matting and frame.
• We price out the selection and the customer can okay the project,
  continue to look at other options at other prices or ask for a quote to think about the project for another day.
• We take the order, accept a 50% deposit, generally with a two week completion date.
  
  

Framing Projects: There are a number of different types of framing applications:

• Shadowboxes to display treasured objects, memorablia or artwork with a three dimensional quality
• Pastel and charcoal pieces that require special matting to trap pastel dust behind the piece rather than having it drifting onto the mat
• “Floating the artwork” for work with unique or fragile edges ‘floated’ on top of or above a mat board, in a shallow shadowbox
• Mirrors, that require heavy substantial framing and wiring
• Floating frames for canvases, Frames or mats enhanced with filets, thin elegant frames that finish and accent an edge.
